WW1 Centenary

To commemorate the 100th anniversary of World War 1 students and staff wore poppies as a mark of respect and the Art department created a lovely display.

Celebrations were also linked to the curriculum; for example, in English, students were studying the impact of war on soldiers through war poems. This experience inspired one of our KS4 students to compose a very moving poem that was shared with all students during assembly.
